Community unites for beautification project at Trailside on Main

SPARTANBURG, SC – Affordable Upstate and NOAH Property Management along with a host of local supporters have started a beautification project on the 138-unit Trailside on Main apartment community.

Work started last Friday when volunteers from Spartanburg Community College, PAL Spartanburg, and The Noble Tree Foundation along with the team from Affordable Upstate planted 19 trees along the River Birch Trail section of the Daniel Morgan Trail System. This trail runs behind Trailside on Main, an affordable housing community located at 1000 East Main Street.

The trees are part of a larger beautification project that will include more tie-ins to the trial system as well as a new mural on the site over the next few months. Trailside on Main connects into the Birch River Trail section of the Daniel Morgan System.

Pamela Adams-Singleton, owner of Dream Designs & Innovations, implemented the design for the project.

A grant from The Noble Tree Foundation helped make the project feasible. The organization's primary focus is to provide funds in the form of grants that enhance the well-being of the people of Spartanburg County through the promotion of the ecological value of trees, the planting of trees in landscaping, and excellence in horticulture throughout the county.

“We are excited to help support the Spartanburg community as well as our residents,” said Mario Brown, CEO of Affordable Upstate. “This is a benefit for everyone involved.”
