Reedy Reels Film festival was a startup created to promote the Greenville area movie culture. As a startup, it needed help announcing its launch, getting films submitted and drawing attendees.
Complete PR created a classic public relations plan focused on one-on-one media relations tactics. This included finding bloggers and reporters who were interested in film, while timing press notes every two weeks to help create media buzz.
More than 700 entries were submitted for the two-day event. In addition, the project drew numerous print, radio and televisions stories, including a live broadcast from the event site.
