With the holidays behind us, and resolutions kicked into high gear, here at Complete we are hoping to stick with our New Year’s goals. While many people’s resolutions include fewer sweets and more exercise (especially after indulging in all those holiday cookies) we want to provide some helpful tips so you can also stick with your health and fitness goals for 2019. I mean getting into shape PR-wise is similar to getting back in the gym, if you don’t have a goal you won’t succeed.
- Sign up for a triathlon/half marathon/5K
Jumping straight into a triathlon may be a little scary for some, but the Mountains to Main Festivalcreated a new twist to the races this year. Plus you have plenty of time to train. Those willing to take on the triathlon have until April 28. While runners that are not quite in triathlon training mode, can run in the half marathon or 5K races that are taking place May 18.
2. Take a hike
There are so many great hiking trails around the Upstate. Table Rock State Parkseems to be a favorite and has some amazing views from the top. From expert to beginner, there is a hike for everyone!
3. Take a ride or run on the Swamp Rabbit Trail
Not many places can say they have a 20-mile trail from one part of town to the other that is exclusively made for foot and bike traffic. Even if you are not too keen on running, there are a few bike shops downtown that let you rent out bikes for a few hours or even a full day! The best part is, the trail goes up to Travelers Rest so you can cool down at your favorite lunch spot before heading back to downtown Greenville!
We are also getting back into shape and kick-starting our PR resolutions. One of our goals is to stay hungry — just no more cookies. We want to continue creating new ideas to grow and construct the best PR plans to fit a company’s needs. That way we can be in tip-top shape throughout the entire year!
