GREENVILLE, S.C. – The annual Tacos ‘n Tequila Fiesta, presented by Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila, is back for a fourth year, and tickets are on sale just in time for holiday gift-giving.
Produced by High Spirits Events, the annual ultimate Sunday Funday will take place April 5 from 3-7 p.m. at The Old Cigar Warehouse, 912 S. Main St., Greenville.
More than 1,300 people were in attendance at last year’s fiesta with 25-plus chefs and bartenders battling it out to craft the best taco and Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila cocktail. This year promises even more taco and tequila fun along with entertainment from Collective Music Solutions, games, prizes and more.
“Every year we look at ways we can make the festival more exciting and fun for our guests,” said Tammy Johnson, High Spirits Hospitality’s CEO. “We want to be a festival that doesn’t sit back and rest on our past success.”
Ticketholders in past years received a limited number of tokens to use for sampling the featured Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila cocktails. This year, however, tokens have been eliminated, and guests will have full access to limitless tasting of the sample-size cocktails. Of course, responsible drinking is encouraged.
The best taco, best sidekick (side dish or dessert) and best cocktail using Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila will be judged by a specially chosen panel of local taco lovers. Winners of each category will gain bragging rights for a year as well as the coveted Golden Sombrero Award. In addition to the judge’s awards, there will also be a People’s Choice Award and Social Media Star Award for the bartenders and chefs that will be calculated using social media channels.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.tacotequilafiesta.com. VIP tickets, available for advance purchase only, are $75 and include unlimited tacos and all-you-can-responsibly-drink tequila cocktails, with early admission starting at 3 p.m. Additionally, VIP guests will have access to the new VIP lounge with private bar, queso fountain and swag. General admission tickets start at $55 in advance, or $65 day of, and include unlimited tacos and all-you-can-responsibly-drink tequila cocktails with 4 p.m. admission. For every ticket sold, $1 will benefit Greenville Technical College’s Culinary Program.
All attendees must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid ID on them to enter the fiesta.
