With Christmas right around the corner, we here at the Spartanburg CVB thought we would put our own spin on the 12 Days of Christmas. We advise you at home to take part in as many of these wonderful Spartanburg events and happenings over the holiday as possible, but don’t try to put this to song. It. Just.Won’t. Sound.Good.
- Have ONE healthy New Year with a picnic and hike at Glendale Shoals.
- Wednesday pint night at Delaney’s with live music. Enjoying craft beer and live music for TWO dollars? You won’t find a better deal between Atlanta and Charlotte.
- Trivia at Gerhard’s on Tuesdays — where else can you find authentic German and Austrian food, brick oven pizza, and trivia all under one roof? That’s THREE reasons to go.
- Visit Cribb’s Kitchen or Willy Taco, which are home to William Cribb, one of South Carolina’s FOUR Chef Ambassadors in 2017.
- FIVE laps on Skating on the Square followed by hot chocolate at the Coffee Bar and pastries from Cakehead Bakery.
- Hollywild Lights in Wellford. What’s not to love about 100 acres of lights and animals? Make sure to get there by January 2. That is the last night for this season. It opens at SIX p.m.
- Visit a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives staple at the Nu-Way, located on Kennedy Street, which has SEVEN letters.
- Spartanburg has a kickin’ music history. Learn more on the EIGHT stops along the Spartanburg Music Trail.
- Check out Seeing Spartanburg in a New Light, which has NINE locations in Spartanburg.
- Visit the Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, a sprawling 10-acre public botanical garden that is open every day of the year; no admission.
- Drive Scenic Highway 11 through Spartanburg County and visit Campobello.
- Go to the Hub City Co-Op. This is South Carolina’s only community-owned grocery store and is having its own version of the 12 Days of Christmas.
