The chatbot, called BEA for BANDWAGON Experience Assistant, leverages the power of artificial intelligence to engage fans in the ticket buying process, from questions about preferred teams and games to suggesting additional gameday enhancers, such as travel arrangements or tailgating recipes. BEA, produced by artificial intelligence company Vidicon AI, integrates directly with Facebook Messenger from the BANDWAGON Facebook page, and interacts in real time with users to provide direction and help troubleshoot. The use of BEA and Vidicon AI’s technology is one of several partnerships BANDWAGON has launched to integrate blockchain technology into the college ticketing process. Other partners include celebrity chef The Hungry Fan, UTrip, a travel itinerary platform, and Croozen, a ride-sharing platform for long distances. While BANDWAGON knows which user is purchasing which tickets to which games, each partner organization understands the demographics of the user in a different way, such as what they like to eat or how they prefer to travel. Through blockchain integration, BANDWAGON is able to combine all of this demographic data into a more holistic picture of the fan in the stadium, providing college athletic departments with a more complete stadium identity.
