GREENVILLE, S.C. – As March Madness takes over the Upstate, BANDWAGON is taking the madness into the kitchen through a bracket challenge of a different kind, one that pits favorite gametime snacks against each other to determine the ultimate tailgate food champion.
BANDWAGON is a sports technology and ticketing company that aims to enhance the gameday experience at every level, from the perfect tailgate to the best seats at tipoff. To engage March Madness fans outside of the tournament, the BANDWAGON bracket challenge features four quadrants of four recipes each, chosen for their popularity as gameday snacks – wings, dips, burgers, and drinks. Each recipe was created by celebrity chef and cookbook author Daina Falk, also known as the Hungry Fan.
One quadrant of recipes will be released online and on social media each week beginning Sunday, March 5, in a Sweet Sixteen style matchup. Fans will have one week to vote for their favorites by liking and sharing the recipe images on Facebook, and by downloading the recipes to try at home via the BANDWAGON website, www.bandwagonfanclub.com.
At the end of the week, the winner of that quadrant will be announced, and the next quadrant will be released. The winners from each category will be placed head to head in a final four match up, and the fan’s favorite tailgate food will be announced on April 2.
“We want people to enjoy and embrace gameday at every level, and whether you’re a casual fan or deep into bracketology, gameday snacks are something we can all come together on,” said Harold Hughes, founder and CEO of BANDWAGON. “Daina’s tailgate recipes with a twist will be instant hits however you’re enjoying March Madness, outside the stadium or on the couch at home.”
